Redmi just launched the world’s fastest-charging smartphone, it supports 210W charging

This smartphone supports 210W fast charging. This smartphone comes with a 4,300mAh battery, and it can recharge it in only 9 minutes. Now, do note that we’ve mentioned 240W fast charging in the past, as OPPO demonstrated it. The thing is, the company still didn’t announce a phone that supports it. Therefore, Redmi is in the lead now. The Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition are actually really similar smartphones. There are some differences between them, which we will highlight as we go along. We’ll first talk about the things that are identical between them. Do note that all three phones look the same, save for a different paint job. These three phones feature a 6.67-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) LED display. That is a 120Hz display, and it offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate. HDR10+ is supported, as is Dolby Vision.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 fuels all three phones, while they come in 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM variants. The Redmi Note 12 Pro measures 162.9 x 76 x 7.9mm, and weighs 187 grams. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition are a bit thicker at 8.98mm. The Note 12 Pro+ weighs 208.4 grams, while the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition weighs 207.5 grams.

All these phones got announced alongside the Redmi Note 12, which is inferior to all three devices. The Redmi Note 12 comes with the same display as these three, and it has a 5,000mAh battery. It is fueled by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, and packs in 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. All three of those variants include 128GB of storage, while the 8GB RAM model is also available with 256GB of storage. It also comes with Android 12, MIUI 13, and has two SIM card slots. A 48-megapixel main camera sits on the back of this phone, along with a 2-megapixel depth camera. A single 8-megapixel camera sits on the front. An audio jack is included here, as is a side-facing fingerprint scanner. This smartphone supports 33W charging, and comes with Bluetooth 5.2. It is IP53 certified, while it measures 165.88 x 76.21 x 7.98mm, and weighs 188 grams.

All these devices got announced in China, though they will likely be making their way to global markets. The Redmi Note 12 pricing starts at CNY1,199 ($165). The Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ pricing starts at CNY1,699 ($234) and CNY2,199 ($203), respectively. The Note 12 Explorer Edition costs CNY2,399 ($331), and it comes in a single 8GB + 256GB setup.
